Rinnovare e rinforzare il senso di appartenenza.
È questo l’obiettivo con cui l’associazione culturale “La Trisa” organizza il “Primo Raduno internazionale degli arrotini” che si terrà dal 30 giugno al 1 luglio a Spiazzo Rendena – Val Rendena – Trentino – Italia.
Una due giorni dedicata alla valorizzazione di una professione che, in passato, si legava ad un contesto ambientale ed economico-sociale difficile, ma che ancora oggi è sinonimo di unione e collaborazione.
Il raduno si pone quindi come un’occasione di incontro, di ritrovo e di conoscenza di vecchie e nuove generazioni appartenenti a questo mondo.
Per questi motivi l’associazione e il Comitato organizzativo sono lieti di invitarLa a questo appuntamento con la volontà di rinnovare un senso di appartenenza che travalica i confini nazionali per raggiungere ogni latitudine.
Il tutto partendo da un assunto fondamentale: la consapevolezza delle proprie radici è un valore, una testimonianza e un insegnamento anche per le nuove generazioni.
Ne è testimone diretta la Val Rendena che ogni anno assiste al ritorno di coloro che sono emigrati per lavoro ed oggi sentono e vogliono mantenere vivo il legame con le proprie origini.
Sebbene il programma definitivo sia ancora in definizione Le anticipo che, ad aprire la manifestazione sarà il convegno “Arrotini: passato, presente, futuro”, in programma nel pomeriggio di sabato 30 giugno, seguito, domenica 1 luglio da una sfilata di gruppi folkloristici, moleti, gruppi musicali ed autorità.
Durante la manifestazione inoltre sarà possibile visitare alcune mostre tra cui la collezione di coltelli di Aldo Lorenzi ed assistere a varie dimostrazioni.

“Renovate and strengthen your feeling of belonging!”
This is what the cultural association “La Trisa” is aiming for upon organizing the “First International Knife-Sharpener’s Meeting”, which will be held on June 30 and July 1 in the town of Spiazzo Rendena – Val Rendena – Trentino – Italy.
We will be dedicating two days to the purpose of enhancing a profession which, in the past, was connected to not only an environmental context, but also to a very difficult social economic situation. Nevertheless, here the profession is still today synonymous with union and cooperation.
Therefore, the idea of the meeting is precious as it offers an opportunity to get together: let’s gather and become acquainted with the old and new generations which belong to the world of the knife sharpening.
That is why the association and the organizing committee are delighted to invite you to this event. And we are inspired by the desire to renovate the feeling of belonging, which goes beyond national borders, to reach every latitude.
The whole thing starts from a fundamental concept: to be aware of how important one’s roots actually are. Here we wish to prove such importance and to pass it on to the following generations.
Val Rendena offers concrete proof of this phenomenon, yearly witnessing the return of those who had to emigrate in order to make a living, people who still today feel connected to their origins, and wish to maintain that connection.
Although the final program has yet to be defined, we would like to communicate that the opening theme of the event will be “Knife Sharpeners: Past, Present, and Future”, to be held in the afternoon of Saturday the 30th. On Sunday July the 1st there will be a parade composed of folkloric groups, knife sharpeners, musical groups and authorities.
Furthermore, during the gathering it will be possible to attend a number of attractions and exhibit, including an exhibit showing Aldo Lorenzi’s private knife collection.
